ORDERING EMBROIDERED PATCHES

STEP ONE: Determine Patch Size

Patch sizes are determined by the average size method. To determine the size of an embroidered patch, add the width (W) and height (H) of the patch and divide the sum by 2. Round the fraction up to the next highest 1/2 inch. The following figures illustrate how patch sizes are determined.
Note: If you are reducing or enlarging your original artwork or sketch, please identify and specify only one dimension. The other dimension will be reduced or enlarged proportionately.



STEP TWO: Determine Embroidery Coverage

The embroidery coverage of a patch is very difficult to assess, even for trained eyes. You will, however, be able to make a rough estimate of cost based on the coverage and actual amount of stitching involved in making the patch. The embroidery coverage will be more if your design requires double stitched letters or numbers. The examples below illustrate some typical embroidery coverages.
